NOTES BY CLEO M. AND G. RYLAND SCOTT, JR IN THE LATE 1950’S
MARSEILLE PLATE FAIENCE CR. 1750
While we do not as a rule collect Faience as it does not go well with porcelain, this is an exception and the plate both from the standpoint of glaze and the painting is outstanding.

We purchased it in Paris in 1950 from Vandermisch, who specializes in Faience as well as French porcelain.
