Circa 1780, blue crescent mark
The branch handles with floral terminals, the stand printed in the „Pinecone‟ pattern, each basket-stave molded with flower-heads
(a crack across the base of the basket)
6 in. (15.2) high, 10 in. (25.4) long, 8 ½ in. (21.6 cm) wide.

NOTES BY CLEO M. AND G. RYLAND SCOTT, JR IN THE LATE 1950’S
This underglazed blue and white bowl used in England for chestnuts or fruit is an unusually pretty example. It is copied from a Meissen piece. The mark is a crescent which is the most usual factory mark. The paste and gilt are particularly fine. The translucency is a deep green.
